1518 - the re-founding of the druid guild

After the fall of the guardians, the guilds of Darmahk and Gahlen were orphaned and desolated. Most of the heroes who fought the battle against the great destroyer were either dead or had left the town. But the legend of their deeds spread across the lands, calling more and more people to come to Gahlen and Darmahk to step into their footsteps.

In the first days after the gates opened again, the city got flooded by immigrants who tried to prove their worth to join one of the re-founded guilds. The training grounds and forests were almost empty of beasts, but full of hunters eager to improve their skill.

On January the 6th, the first druids were inducted into the new founded druid guild by the druid lord himself: The humans Reina, Meari and Kylan and the elf Drayd. Reina and Meari were named the arch druidess and assistant. The next days followed the felines Faldu, Yao and Rajah, the human Arowan and the nymph twins Miralia and Vitalia.

The leadership set up the basic rules and organisation for the guild, and they also founded the three circles, the sages which followed the tenet of knowledge, the champions who were responsible for defense and re-gearing and the shepherds who should take care for new members. Many new druids were inducted, among them the first suden druid Murk on the 21st of January. The first devotees joined our faith, the first of them the human shaman Chuen on the 28th of January. This also finally ended the conflict between the shamans and the druids which had started years before the fall of the guardians.

The life of the new druids was hard and full of deprivation. Their powers were still weak and there was not much decent gear to be found. Battle groups were formed to fight the bugbears in the silver woods in order to get some gear, and druids were happy if they could call a two handed stuff their own,

Unfortunately, Reina had to leave our lands, following a vision that called her back to her home town, Meari was named archdruid the first of April, and two weeks later Miralia was named her assistant.

The new leadership tried to rule the faith with a bunch of rules, laws, sanctions and punishments, which wasn't taken well by the most of the druids. Many had the feeling that the guild had become over regulated and bureaucratic. As kind of a counter movement, the unofficial group of the star followers constituted, druids who intended to follow the spiritual path of Ateraan. Their sign was a brooch shaped like a star, worn openly.

The 23rd of June saw the first dread invasion, right at the nature faith summer festival. The dread invaded the norther circle and moved forward to Gahlen. The attackers were fought back by the brave defenders. At the same time, Meari, Miralia and her sister Vitalia left town. Meari returned to Gahlen a few month later, but the fate of the nymph twins has never been fully cleared.

The now leaderless guild tried the best to reorganize. On the seventh of July the elf Aneirin was named archdruid and chose the female nykos Mohtep as his assistant. A fourth circle was founded, the circle of the star, who was intended to take care of the spiritual needs of the faith.

The 26th of July saw the wedding of Aneirin and Amaya, the first wedding since the fall of the guardians. The ceremony was held by me, druid Faldu.

In August, the faith decided to treat the undead as a possible threat to Ateraan and ban those who intentionally leave corpses to raise to undead.

The year ended quietly, with the druid fall and winter festival.
