Autumn Leaves

Your feet are rustling though the leaves
The witnesses of slow decay
They sing a song of fallen glory
Show us the price we have to pay
But all the beauty lies in change
There's no beginning there's no end
And the autumn leafs will cover
The graves of your fallen friends
They will soak up your spilled blood
Dry the tears of shattered love
And the cycles will renew
All beneath and all above
Pile the leaves and light a fire
Burn them with your fear and blame
Preserve the heat inside your guts
scatter the ash but keep the flame
